About
Resilience is the ability to cope with whatever life throws at you, and bounce back stronger and more steadfast than before. Resilient people work through life challenges using personal resources, including social support, coping strategies, sagacity (which is the wisdom and insight that we hold onto), and solution- seeking behaviours. The huge myth around resilience is that you either have it or you don't. Resilience involves behaviours, thoughts, and actions that can be learned and developed in anyone (McDonald et al., 2012). This program specifically focuses on three main tools; Doors Closed Doors Open Using Values to Build Resilience The Resilience Plan (Four S's - supports, strategies, sagacity, solution-seeking behaviors) This course is designed to take out the waffle and give you actionable practices to build long lasting resilience. The tools and actions are built over a period of 4 weeks however we urge you to keep practicing these skills on an on-going basis to help you overcome new obstacles. Week 1 Doors Closed Doors Open Shifting your focus Week 2 Using Values to Build Resilience Week 3 The Resilience Plan (Supports, Strategies, Sagacity, Solution-Seeking Behaviours) Week 4 Putting The Plan Into Action
